The idea for this book originated from a discussion held in the European Parliament on the topic of the "European way of life."

That is precisely what General Riho Terras, a cooking enthusiast, has done; in this book, he shares recipes and tips for preparing 27 authentic European home-cooked dishes in an Estonian kitchen.

Riho Terras—who has spent four years representing Estonia and the Isamaa party within the European People’s Party, the largest political group in the European Parliament—received these favorite recipes from his parliamentary colleagues. Beyond the food, the conversations also touched upon other topics that resonate with the people of various European nations.
