Jõgeva rural municipality has been in operation for 140 years. It has been officially named since 1867. The current borders of the rural municipality were established in 1979. Jõgeva rural municipality is one of the largest in Estonia in terms of its area (458 km²) and population (ca. 5,200). The anniversary album provides a chronological overview of the most important events in the history of the rural municipality, both in words and pictures.
