Biographical lexicon of Estonian sports

The book is part of the series "Estonian Biographical Lexicons" "Estonian Sports Biographical Lexicon" (ESBL) continues the increasingly laborious project that began with the lexicon published after the Berlin Olympics in 1937 - compiling the short biographies of our sports people between book covers.

Nearly 2,000 articles have been added compared to the 2002 edition.

The 3rd, expanded and revised edition contains nearly 6,000 articles, 4,300 of which have been accompanied by a portrait photo. Athletes who have achieved good sporting results have been preferred in the selection of individuals, and the data is presented as of the end of 2010. The lexicon also includes biographies of distinguished coaches, sports figures, long-time leaders of sports associations, sports referees, sports scientists and sports journalists. Our most voluminous sports book of all time is published in cooperation with the Estonian Olympic Committee.
