McCarthy baar - Pete McCarthy

Travel writer and journalist Pete McCarthy is uniquely well-suited to write about Ireland; with an Irish mother and an English father, he is close enough to Irish culture and life to truly understand and engage with them. In this book, he travels the length and breadth of Ireland. His primary goal is to visit every "McCarthy’s Bar" in the country—but, naturally, these bars are far from empty. Along the way, he encounters a whole cast of colorful characters and sheds light on the cultural background of each locale.
