"The pilgrimage to the 88 temples of Shikoku in Japan was not just a hike for me. It was a journey closer to my own power through the visible and invisible world, through people and situations. This journey had far-reaching consequences for me. I traveled 44 days and 1,200 kilometers to the abyss, which cultivated in my soul a deep sense of gratitude for life and people and helped me understand the simplicity of life, which we can so easily distance ourselves from in everyday life. In this book, I wrote myself naked, because all these lines are written primarily for myself, one spring, during cherry blossom season in Japan, on the island of Shikoku ... I died in order to be reborn. Six months after the Shikoku o-henro, I left my office job to help people find a better connection with their bodies and souls in the fast pace of life. I work at the Confido Private Medical Center, specializing in Japanese shindō and shiki as a therapist-masseur and instructor of shindō stretching classes.
