Milleks meile putukad - Gilbert Waldbauer

We usually think of insects as all pests that should be squashed, poisoned, and otherwise destroyed. But if the necessary insects disappeared – who would pollinate flowers, provide food for other animals, remove dead organisms, and perform many other ecologically necessary tasks for us? The entire web of life on Earth would probably fall apart.
Gilbert Waldbauer’s book provides an overview of the different ecological roles played by insect groups and their role as enablers of life on Earth.
