Laughter and Tears - Noel Barber

The events of the novel «Laughter and Tears» take place in Paris, where Russian nobles have fled from the revolution. Nicholas was only a child when his father managed to save part of his family from certain death. His wife was killed, and the twins Nicholas and Rudi were separated from each other. Over several decades, Nick's development is followed, his seemingly hopeless love for the beautiful Tasha and his reunion with loved ones long thought dead.
Noel Barber's voluminous novels often take the reader beyond England - to World War II-era Singapore or more exotic places in Europe. They combine colorful settings, romantic heroes and adventures - all the features usually expected from entertainment.
