This biography of the Princess of Wales is unique because without the sincere cooperation of Diana, Princess of Wales, the story contained within the pages of this book would never have been published. The book was based on long taped interviews with Diana, which she gave to Andrew Morton in 1991-1992. The text has been supplemented with statements from Diana's family and friends.
The sad overtone of Diana's short life was that she was never allowed to "sing at the top of her voice." If Diana had been able to enjoy her life, she might have written her memoirs someday. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible.
This book is his life story as he wanted to tell it. These pages contain his testament - we can't get any closer to his life.
