Võim. Leppimine 2 ja 3 osa - Jeff VanderMeer

In the second part of the “Southern District” trilogy, a new director enters the game, because the previous one went with the last expedition organized to Area X and went missing. However, the old employees do not easily accept him and many questions are waiting to be answered. Why is there a composition of a plant with pale leaves, a dead mouse and an ancient mobile phone in the locked drawer of the director’s desk? Why does one of the scientists sometimes wander around the storage room in a huddled state on a shelf high under the ceiling? Not to mention the most important question: what is happening in Area X?

In the third part of the trilogy, the characters from the previous parts come together and we also meet those who until now only looked back from a faded photograph and witnessed the emergence of Area X. Was this emergence really that simple? And are the people they met still the same as before? Because one of the participants remembers fragments of life as the biological protagonist of “Destruction”, but knows that he himself was not it. And why does she suspect that her (or not-her) dead husband is now living on as a cat? Can anyone be trusted who has ever been in Area X? And where is Area X actually located?
