"On the Wings of the Wind" is, in a way, a surprise for the Estonian reader. Many of the poems published have been written in recent years. If one did not know who the author is, one could easily consider Fred Ise's poems to be among the classics of Estonian poetry, which conclusion is possible due to the verse form and vocabulary used by the author. At the end of his book, Fred Ise describes the motives behind the creation of some poems.
