Year-round with potatoes. Selection of articles

The collection contains 27 selected articles about potatoes.
The articles were previously published in newspapers and magazines in 1991-1994 with the aim of helping novice potato growers. This was a time of sharp changes in our country and agriculture. Many people had to leave their learned activities and become farmers. Some of the articles were written at a time when food shortages threatened and efforts were made to secure the table with potatoes.

The articles examine the problems of potato cultivation in Estonia, suitable fields for potatoes and crop rotation, potato varieties, selection of seed and food potatoes, fertilization, combating diseases, harvesting and storing potatoes, seed cultivation, meristem and micropropagation, and recommendations are also given to novice potato growers.
