A separate chapter provides an overview of common dog breeds and their assessment. The chapter on dog training deals with basic and special training, where the training of service dogs is especially emphasized. The appendices contain instructions for testing and evaluating the performance of hunting dogs. The book is equipped with many original illustrations.
