The fruits of the world is the first popular scientific work on cultivated plants in Estonian. The fifth part of this book is the first edition, but the first four parts are an expanded reprint. The use of the book, which contains rich information, is facilitated by the index of plant names placed at the end of the volume. Useful plants from all climate zones of the world are considered. Many of them find their treatment in the Estonian printed word for the first time. The book is intended for a very wide readership, for all nature and bread enthusiasts, it is written in Heino Kiige's fluent plant-wise style and illustrated by Edgar Valter.
