The aim of the textbook “Fundamentals of Microeconomics” is to help readers acquire basic knowledge in micro- and macroeconomics. The introductory chapter on micro- and macroeconomics is followed by seven chapters on microeconomics (market analysis, supply and demand, production costs, competition, resource markets and consumption) and eight chapters on macroeconomics (the role of the state in the economy, determining macroeconomic indicators, fiscal and monetary policy, money, banking, employment and inflation). To facilitate the acquisition of theoretical positions, exercises related to the topic of the chapter are included at the end of each chapter.

The answers to the exercises given at the end of the book “Fundamentals of Microeconomics” will also help self-learners to use the book successfully. An explanatory dictionary of terms facilitates reading. The book was compiled based on the curriculum for students of non-economics majors, but it is also excellent for independent acquisition of the basic theory of micro- and macroeconomics
