Õhtupoolikud Emilyga - Rose MacMurray

The family of young Miranda Chase moves to the New England town of Amherst, where the reclusive poet Emily Dickinson is a hot topic of conversation among the local elite. An unlikely friendship develops between Emily and Miranda. Emily's witty language, brilliant intellect, poetic talent, and refusal to conform to the rules of Puritan society attract Miranda, because she is not exactly an ordinary mid-19th-century schoolgirl. Over time, it becomes clear that it is not easy to make friends with the demanding Emily. When Miranda begins to grow out of the framework created by Emily, conflict is inevitable.
Interest in Emily Dickinson's work prompted the author to also study the poet's life. Thus was born this novel, which is considered one of the most successful portraits of Emily Dickinson in fiction.
