Notes on a scandal - Zoë Heller

The second novel by Zoë Heller, a younger generation of English writers, “Notes on a Scandal” also caused a scandal when it was published. Perhaps even a bigger scandal than the one she writes about in her book.
The love story between teacher Sheba Hart and her student Steven Connolly is recounted by an older, pre-retired history teacher, Barbara. The American publisher titled the book “What Was She Thinking?”
This question haunts my mind constantly while reading the book, thinking about the actions of both the narrator and the main character.
The book was a finalist for the Booker Prize and has been published in 12 languages to date.
