Decameron Spa - Fay Weldon

In the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve, a dozen successful women gather at the expensive Kindlusspaas to be pampered and refreshed before the start of the new year. However, upon arrival, it turns out that the spa is not quite what they were promised. The ladies are not deterred and decide to start telling each other stories about their lives while enjoying the jacuzzi and eating chocolate. So one after another, the Trophy Wife, Brain Surgeon, Judge, Manicurist, Vicar's Ex-Wife, Screenwriter, Stepmother, Journalist, Conspiracy Theorist and Public Speaker tell their stories. Weldon, who has always been able to find new and unexpected perspectives when writing about women's lives, does not disappoint this time either - the book is truly interesting and has unexpected twists.
