"The second part of the Crossfire series continues the sensual story of Eva and Gideon, left unfinished in the first part, "Naked."

Gideon Cross. Beautiful and flawless on the outside, but broken and tormented on the inside. He was like a radiantly hot flame to me, inviting me into a dark world of pleasure. I couldn't, and wouldn't, stay away. He was my addiction... my passion... always mine.

My past was as violent as his. We would never have worked out. It was all too hard, too painful... except for those moments when everything was perfect. Those moments when our insane desire and love for each other drove us to indescribable madness.

We were bound by a need and dependence on each other, which led to a bittersweet passion.
