Teine leedi - Irving Wallace

During a state visit to Moscow, the Russians kidnap the beautiful and brilliant Billie Bradford, wife of the President of the United States, and replace her with Vera Vavilova, a fantastically trained Russian secret agent and actress who is the physical counterpart of the First Lady.

The imposter's mission is to trick the President into revealing a US secret that would tip the balance of power in Russia's favor. But one wrong move - whether in front of television cameras or in the White House bedroom - could destroy the entire masquerade.

And in Moscow, Billie has a mission too - desperately searching for ways to save herself, even if it means leading a Soviet intelligence officer on a daring false trail into the most intimate details of her marriage.

Two women, each playing a treacherous game in a foreign land, each taking a desperate gamble in the hands of the other's beloved - a staggering gamble that only one of them can win...
