The collection "City of Good Murders" contains three murder stories from the city of Tartu. These stories are united by the fact that they all take place in cultural circles and well-known places in the center of Tartu, and at the heart of the stories are sharp intrigues and contradictions among the Estonian intelligentsia. In the short novel "Murder in the Toy Museum", the science curator of the same museum who presided over a secret meeting there at night is found murdered. Private detective Laura Peegel, a former employee of the special department of the Literary Museum, begins to investigate the murder, who soon discovers that a secret war between various cultural institutions has been going on in Tartu for a long time and that the stakes in this game are very high. Tartu's museums have formed a secret coalition to protect their interests, and the murderer must be one of its members. In the stories "Murder at the annual meeting of the Science Fiction Association" and "Murder in the editorial office of "Reaktor"" the harsh reality in the Estonian literary world is under scrutiny.
