VHS film "Kukulind" (Kukushka, 2002)

It is the winter of 1944, and two men are making their way away from the carnage of war. Veikko (Ville Haapasalo) and Ivan—also known as Psholty (Viktor Bychkov)—wear different uniforms and ought to be enemies, but in the presence of Anni (Anni-Kristiina Juuso), the war fades into the background. It is a no-man's-land where politics hold no significance. Since each member of this odd trio speaks only their own language, a series of misunderstandings—both comic and tragic—awaits them.
