Petronella Õnneseen - Dorothea Flechsig

When Petronella grows up, she is going to be a zoologist. That is certain. She will visit Antarctica and quite a few deserts. With binoculars in hand, she will slither silently like a snake across the dusty prairie, uncovering the most incredible animal stories the world has ever heard. But until Petronella can set off on her long journeys alone, she lives in a small village. Here, she knows everyone, and everyone knows her. That isn't hard, since Petronella gets around a lot every day. And whenever something extraordinary is discovered, it is sure to be Petronella Lucky-Shoe!
This richly illustrated, heartwarming storybook is full of exciting adventures and funny incidents. To help young readers locate the Antarctica, deserts, and prairies Petronella dreams of, the book also includes a map of the world.
The author, Dorothea Flechsig, worked for years as a journalist for various newspapers and magazines while also writing and publishing children's books. She has completed screenwriting courses and teaches creative writing to both adults and children.
