"I've played in a dozen Estonian bands. And a dozen more that aren't worth mentioning. I've written a few pretty good songs. I've played music on the radio, sometimes four or five hours of talk. I've hosted music shows on TV and played the role of an unfair judge on a talent show. I've played with real aces who know that practice doesn't make you a master, but a practitioner. And of course, I've listened to an enormous amount of music. If all of this doesn't give me the justification and obligation to write about music, then I don't know what will.
