Vapilõvi - Daniel Vaarik

“The Lion of the Coat of Arms” is an extraordinary story about an Estonian president. It is even more than that—a window into what it means to be the President of Estonia.
Honest, unvarnished. Accessible.
To write this, I accompanied President Kersti Kaljulaid for several years, recording everything on my phone—sometimes openly, sometimes in secret.
In these recordings, I hear the President laughing, getting angry; I hear her feeling joyful and afraid. I even hear her swearing furiously. As a real human being.
