Carl XVI Gustaf. Vastumeelselt kuningas

Seven naked women and 13 bottles of champagne for $60,000 (price valid for six hours). Private parties in an illegal Serbian criminal nightclub. Still with girls. A relationship with a sensual pop singer. The royal press service's diligent and rather embarrassing attempts to smooth things over. To be honest, have these attempts ever worked?
Such "buckets" are easy to dismiss.
At the same time, a picture of a king who doesn't want to be a king, who wants - no kidding - to be a tractor driver, gradually unfolds before us. "Nenne! Dustaf loves them! Dustaf would like some tlactol too!" the king had once gasped to his nanny long ago. Apparently, Carl Gustaf's misfortune - because if you have to be someone you don't want to be, can you be happy? - also began in childhood. The king's sister, Princess Birgitta, has confessed that the children's feelings were not what the strictness of the Swedish court would have taken into account. "The children's questions were answered with silence, the children's anxiety and fear with the same silence."

King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden would like an ordinary, simple, normal life. He will never have that. He found a different solution. Although a temporary one and not very modest.
