Sulerüütlina - Hans Treimann

The author of the memoir began his journalistic journey almost half a century ago in the Rapla newspaper Ühistöö, went through the magazines Pilt ja Sõna and Horisont, led to the publishing house Eesti Raamat, Noorte Hääle and Rahva Hääle, and had him participate in the editorial work of the popular Aja Pulss magazine during the perestroika years.
With warm humor and pleasant phrasing, the author tells about the people he met during his working years, and with a flexible pen portrays figures from Estonian cultural history, economics, and science.
The book talks about the struggle against censorship, the pressure of the ruling single party. And about how the sense of support and unity of the great brotherhood of journalists helped to keep their heads high in the stuffy air of the era.
