Karl Ast Rumor's (1886–1971) three-volume "At the end of the world" is an attempt to summarize the colorful life of the author, which spans three periods of history. These historical stages are: the life of the Estonian people in the Russian tsarist state, the achievement and rebuilding of statehood, and finally the loss of the state and the exile generation. An attempt has been made to present the author's biography through the chronological arrangement of his speeches, writings and even lyrical pieces, thus based on the principle of a conditional diary.
